They went to LA in hope of being Hollywood stars, but when they did not get it many came to Bob Mizer's garage for a few bucks and a photo shoot that put them in the catalogue of the Athletic Models Guild. Soon Mizer and his models beacame popular and he developer his own trademark style that incuded projected backgrounds and lavish props, and turned his home into a haven for the young men he loved to take photo of.
